One of a pair of ducklings being fed at the Sanctuary Wildlife Care Centre in Morpeth, Northumberland where they are being cared for after being abandoned by their mother. Ducklings are normally born in May or June but due to the unseasonably warm spell they were born a few months early. They are the only survivors of a family of six that were abandoned by their mother. The pair, named Holly and Ivy, are doing well on a diet of mealworms and are beng cared for indoors until spring 2012.
